TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read our terms and conditions below. By joining Mandala Jiu Jitsu School and making your first membership payment you agree that you have read, understood and accepted these T&Cs.
a) Mandala Jiu Jitsu School is the trading name of Niteroi Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 13531897.
b) Our membership is a monthly rolling contract with 1 month paid notice period which must be given in writing via e-mail. One month paid notice of termination is required for all memberships. One moth paid notice means that the following month's full membership payment will be due, for example if you write to us about membership cancellation in March, then the usual membership payment for April will be due to be paid. If written notice is not given, the membership is active and the fees continue to be fully payable.
c) Membership fee payment is due every month by the 5th. Payments not settled by the end of the month are considered late payments and incur a £15 charge.
d) Memberships can be paused temporarily in the event of injury or travel for a minimum period of 1 month. To do this you must inform us via email at least 1 week before the start of the relevant month. On return to the club after pausing the membership payments, the joining fee will be payable again.
e) We reserve the right to occasionally cancel a class, however, if this unlikely event happens, we will communicate this in advance via email and offer our students an option to attend a different class on the timetable.
f) During school holidays we operate a reduced timetable for kids' classes with classes on Tuesdays (occasionally Mondays instead), Thursdays and Saturdays only. We will let you know in advance when the holiday kids' timetable will operate.
g) All students are required to wear a correct club uniform (called a gi) latest by the start of the second month of training. Gis, rash guards and other merchandise are to be purchased from the club.
h) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a contact sport, therefore there will be physical contact between students during class when practising techniques and sparring. Physical contact may be required between the teacher and the student during class in an appropriate manner for teaching the class.
i) All students are expected to attend the club's annual grading, which usually takes place towards the end of the school year.
We will give you as much notice as possible regarding the grading date. If a student is unable to attend the grading, payment for grading is still payable to cover the cost of belt, certificate and any other costs incurred by the club. Students who do not attend the grading ceremony will be awarded their new grades in a class after the grading.
j) Occasionally students may be photographed or videoed during the class for promotional purposes. By becoming a member of the school, the parents and members give permission for the images to be used by the club for appropriate promotional purposes.
k) Minor injuries may be treated by the instructor using first aid kit unless written advice to the contrary is received from the parent/guardian.
l) The club is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings whilst on the premises.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU IN OUR CLUB.
